of lost sandals

Shortly after our arrival Fi left his sandals by the curb when returning from the beach, not to be found when we came back to look for them. I wonder what their new life is like.

His adjustment to Kiwi ways got a much quicker start than expected. Surprisingly, the other adult in the family followed suit. I, on the other hand, who used to spent a good 8 months of the year barefoot in New Jersey, refuse to fry my feet on the local sidewalks. Looks like we will save money on footwear.
